Garza, Robert

From Robert Garza:
“All of my knives are handmade here in Texas. My main goal is to craft a knife that will hold an edge and will fit good in your grip. I use some of the best steels in the market, like CPM SV30, Damascus, 440C, 154CM, 1095, D2 and 01 tool steel. I use the stock removal method to profile and grind my blades. After grinding the knives to about 600 grit, they are then heat treated in an even-heat kiln. Then they are tempered to get the best hardness and durability.”
Comment from the BOSS!
” I have known Robert for about 10 years now and have been impressed with the quality of the knives that he produces. From his earlier grinds (not so pretty) to his current work. He has grown over the years and had continued to perfect his workmanship to create an excellent tool in his blades. His choice in handle materials is exquisite and well balanced between different wood burls, stag materials and micarta’s. True quote from a customer “Best skinner I have ever used-carved four hogs in one weekend”. When I hunt, I use a Robert Garza knife.”
