The Subject of their first edition Christmas card, Jill makes her first appearance since 1978. Jill Hagara, Bill’s daughter was the subject of numerous paintings during the 1970’s. She is shown in her winter coat holding a rare “Bru” antique doll.
Jan Hagara is an award-winning, self-taught artist who has developed her own unique style. Her old-fashioned children seem to step right out of the pages of a storybook- complete with authentic antique clothing and toys.
Each of Jan’s designs is first created as an original watercolor. These paintings are the basis of a wide range of collector’s item like lithograph prints and plates. And now, they’re available in exquisite detail in fine, hand painted porcelain figurines…complete with the sparkling eyes and blue “hash-marks” that have become Jan’s Trademarks.
America’s number one Victorian artist, Jan Hagara. “I create my own special look, children of today but Victorian in dress. The best of the era, the romance and grace, the wide-eyed innocence, a favorite toy or doll from days gone by. The best of both worlds, yesterday and today.”
